Dr. Vishal P. Rekhala, D.O. is among a select group of physicians in the country to hold double board certification in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Pain Medicine, alongside double fellowship training in Interventional Pain and Palliative Care. He is further distinguished by advanced certification in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound and Vascular Ultrasound — a combination that places him at the forefront of modern, image-guided, minimally invasive medicine.
Dr. Rekhala’s academic foundation was built at Villanova University, followed by his medical degree at Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed a rigorous residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Kingsbrook Jewish Medical Center, then pursued fellowship training in Palliative Medicine at New York Medical College — developing a rare sensitivity to whole-patient care and complex pain management.
Seeking to push the boundaries of non-surgical treatment, Dr. Rekhala completed a highly specialized fellowship in Interventional Pain and Musculoskeletal Medicine with a concentrated focus on regenerative medicine at Rutgers/UMDNJ. The result is a physician uniquely equipped to deliver transformative outcomes — restoring function, eliminating pain, and improving quality of life — without the risks or recovery time of surgery.
“Every patient deserves to understand their condition fully and participate in decisions about their care. I take time to listen, explain, and collaborate — because that’s how we get the best outcomes together.”
